Contact the desk
There is one editorial mailbox, and it is for questions about what this site publishes, not for account help.
The one mailbox
The editorial mailbox is editor@calabartryoutng.com. It is the only address the desk uses, and it is read by the people who write the pages. There is no phone line, no live chat and no WhatsApp number published here, because the desk does not have the staff to run them honestly.
Write in English and say which page you are asking about. If you are reporting an error, the corrections page explains what to include. The desk does not promise a response time in hours or days, and it will not reply to messages that ask for a trade call.
Questions about published facts we can answer, and personal trading advice we cannot
We can answer questions about the facts published on this site: the instrument specification for gold (XAU/USD), the platforms listed (MT4, MT5, cTrader, FxPro Edge), the funding methods available to Nigerian readers, and the regulator caveat naming the FCA, CySEC and FSCA plus the SEC Nigeria register. We can also explain how a margin figure is calculated from a stated leverage cap, such as the worked example of a 0.10-lot gold position needing about $85.50 margin at 1:200 via the offshore entity. We cannot tell you whether to buy or sell gold.
We cannot give personal trading advice, recommend a position size for your account, or tell you whether gold will rise or fall. We cannot assess your risk tolerance, your income, or your naira budget and turn that into a trading plan. We cannot say a spread, commission or swap is competitive, tight or low, because those costs depend on the broker, the account type and market conditions, and we do not publish numbers for them. If your question is 'should I trade gold now', the honest answer is that only you, or a licensed adviser, can decide that.
We can explain what a term means and how a published figure was reached, but we cannot confirm that a specific broker will accept your naira bank transfer, approve your card, or keep a quoted leverage cap for your account. Those outcomes depend on the broker's onboarding checks and the entity that serves Nigeria, FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL. We can repeat the regulator caveat so you know where to check, but we cannot act as a regulator, an ombudsman or a financial adviser. Keep your question to the published facts and you will get a direct answer.
What a message must contain before an answer is possible
A message must contain the page URL, the exact sentence or figure, and the unit or currency you are using. Without those three things the desk cannot tell whether you mean the gold specification, the leverage cap, or a funding detail. For gold (XAU/USD), state the lot size and confirm you are using 100 oz per standard lot and 0.01 per pip, because a figure quoted without a unit cannot be checked. For naira amounts, write the ₦ figure and the funding method, so the context is clear and no one has to guess.
A useful message also states what you want: a correction, a clarification, or a pointer to where an answer lives. If you want a correction, say what the text should say instead and attach the source. If you want a clarification, ask one specific question rather than a list. If you want to know where to take an account problem, say so plainly, because the desk can only redirect you and cannot act on the account. Messages that mix several unrelated questions are harder to answer and often get a partial reply.
Never include passwords, card numbers, bank account numbers or one-time codes. The desk does not need them and cannot use them. If your question involves a naira bank transfer, the method name is enough; the desk does not need your account number. If your question involves leverage, the position size in lots and the margin figure you are checking are enough. A message that respects these limits is answerable; one that asks the desk to access an account or recover funds is not, and will be redirected.
Account access, fund recovery and personal advice belong with your broker or a licensed adviser
We cannot access a trading account, reset a password, release a withdrawal, or recover funds. Those actions belong to your broker, and for Nigerian readers the entity that serves the market is FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL, operating the platforms MT4, MT5, cTrader and FxPro Edge. If money sent by local NGN bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard debit card, e-payment or crypto has not arrived, the first contact is the broker's support, not this desk. We can repeat the regulator caveat, but we cannot intervene in an account.
We cannot give personal trading advice or tell you how much of your naira balance to risk on gold (XAU/USD). That is a licensed adviser's role, and this desk is not one. We can explain that one standard lot is 100 oz and one pip is 0.01, and that at 1:200 via the offshore entity a 0.10-lot position needs about $85.50 margin, but we cannot turn that into a recommendation for your account. Leverage is a cap, not a target, and the decision to use it is yours or your adviser's.
If you have a dispute with a broker, the route is the broker's formal complaints process and then the relevant regulator. For the licences named on this site, that means the FCA (UK), CySEC or FSCA, depending on the entity. For any broker, confirm it on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators before you rely on it. This desk can point you to those names, but it cannot file a complaint for you, recover money, or rule on who is right. Messages asking it to do so will be redirected to those channels.
What the desk will and will not help with
The desk will help with editorial questions: how a figure was read, why a broker was ranked where it was, or what a term on a page means. It will explain a formula, such as the margin example where a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 at the stated cap, and it will point you to the broker's own documents for the live number.
The desk will not help with account problems, blocked withdrawals, KYC disputes or fund recovery. It is not a broker, bank or licensed adviser, so it cannot see your account and cannot act for you. It will not give personal advice on whether to trade, how much to deposit or which way gold will move. For a dispute, go to the broker's own complaints route and, where relevant, to the SEC Nigeria as the local authority.
How a correction request is handled from receipt to published change
A correction request is logged, checked against the source, and either applied to the page or answered with the reason it was not applied. The desk first confirms which page and which sentence or figure you mean, then compares your source with the facts the page was built from. If the page states a figure such as the $85.50 margin on a 0.10-lot gold position at 1:200 via the offshore entity, the check is whether that figure matches the stated leverage cap and the 100 oz contract size. If it does, the page stays as written and you are told why.
If your correction is upheld, the page is edited and the change is made in the published text, not in a comment. The desk does not publish a separate corrections log for every wording change, but it does not leave a known error in place. If your correction concerns the regulator caveat, the check is against the named licences (FCA, CySEC, FSCA) and the instruction to confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators. A request to soften or remove that caveat is not a correction and will not be applied.
A correction request is not a debate about market direction. If you believe gold will move a certain way, that is a view, not a correction, and the desk will say so. If you believe a funding method is missing from the list, the check is whether it is one of the methods the page is allowed to name: local NGN bank transfers, Visa or Mastercard debit cards, e-payments, or crypto. A request to add a method outside that list cannot be actioned. Send the exact wording you want changed and the source, and the desk will give you a clear outcome.
What to send for a correction, a data query, or a general question
For a correction, send the exact page URL, the sentence or figure you believe is wrong, and the source that supports your version. For a data query, include the instrument code (XAU/USD), the figure in question, and the timestamp you are referencing. For a general question, state the topic in the subject line and put your full question in the body. This lets the desk route your message without a round trip. If you are writing about gold (XAU/USD), remember one standard lot is 100 oz and one pip is 0.01, so quote the unit you mean.
For anything involving naira amounts or local funding, include the naira figure and the method you used, such as local NGN bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard debit card, e-payment, or crypto. Do not send card numbers, bank account details, or one-time passwords. The desk only needs the method name and the amount in ₦ to understand the context. If your question is about leverage, state the position size in lots and the margin figure you are working from, for example a 0.10-lot gold position needing about $85.50 margin at the offshore entity cap. That level of detail makes a useful reply possible.
For a question about regulation, name the entity you are asking about and the jurisdiction. The desk can point you to the FCA, CySEC and FSCA licences that apply to FxPro, and remind you to confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators. It cannot verify a firm on your behalf or give you a clearance. Send the exact wording you are checking and the page it came from. If your message is about a broker other than FxPro, say so clearly, because the desk only covers the instrument and platform facts published on this site.
No guest posts and no paid placement
The desk does not accept guest posts, sponsored reviews or paid placement at any price. There is no rate card, no advertorial slot and no way to buy a ranking. A broker cannot pay to have a weakness removed, and a reader cannot pay to have a broker moved up the page.
This is a deliberate limit, not a gap in the offer. The only commercial relationship on the site is the affiliate link described on the about page, and it does not buy words. If you are a broker or an agency asking for coverage, the honest answer is no.
How long a reply takes, and what changes the timing
Expect a reply within a few working days for a clear question about the published facts. The exact time depends on the volume of messages and whether your question needs a check against the source material. A message that names the page, the figure and the unit is faster to answer than one that describes a problem in general terms. If you write about gold (XAU/USD), include the lot size and the pip value you are using, because one standard lot is 100 oz and one pip is 0.01, and that removes a clarifying exchange.
Timing also depends on whether your question falls inside what the desk covers. A correction request with a source attached is usually quicker than a broad question about strategy, because strategy questions fall outside the desk's scope and must be redirected. A question about naira funding methods, local NGN bank transfers, Visa or Mastercard debit cards, e-payments or crypto can be answered from the published list. A question that asks for a personal recommendation cannot be answered at all, so it takes longer to close because the reply has to explain the limit and point you elsewhere.
Do not send the same message more than once. Duplicates slow the desk down because each copy has to be read and matched. If you have not heard back within a reasonable period, reply once to your original message with any missing detail rather than starting a new thread. The desk does not promise a fixed number of hours, and any timing depends on the queue and the complexity of the check. For urgent account or money problems, contact your broker directly, because those matters are outside this desk and waiting here costs you time.
